Construction
Security Grab Bar tubing shall be 1-1/2" OD 18 gauge stainless steel, seamless construction with exposed surfaces in architectural satin finish. Bent ends of tubing pass through the flanges and are welded into a single structural unit for maximum strength. Intermediate supports are contour cut and joined by welding to form an integral part of the grab bar. All welds ground and polished to blend. Mandrel bending process maintains uniform bar diameter. Return provides 1-1/2" standard safety clearance between wall and bar. Flanges shall be 3-1/8" diameter 11 gauge stainless steel with exposed surfaces in architectural satin finish and closure plate is 11 gauge stainless steel.

Installation
Unit is supplied with 1/4" - 20 x 1-1/2" T27 torx head machine screws for installation to wall anchors (not included). Wall anchors/backing used must provide adequate support for the intended load requirements.

Verify all rough-in dimensions prior to installation. Secure to wall where adequate in-wall backing exists. Use bar as template to locate mounting holes. Drill holes and set anchors as appropriate. Mount grab bar and secure mounting screws. Horizontal mounting recommended. Vertical mounting is not recommended as unfinished side is exposed.
