Construction
Security recessed shelf shall be 16 gauge type 304 stainless steel alloy 18-8. All exposed surfaces shall have satin finish. Interior shall be 4" deep. All corners of face frame shall be welded and ground smooth. Inside has folded and spot-welded assembly. Back of shelf shall have four (4) welded-on anchor nuts that hold threaded rods. Back plates shall be 11 gauge die-formed galvanized steel and shall be reversible for shallow or deep wall installation. Back plates shall have two (2) holes and two (2) slots on each bracket to accommodate 1/4-20 x 1" long Philips pan head screws (provided) or to receive four (4) threaded rods 8" long (provided) to be cut to suit at installation. Four (4) adjustment locking washers and nuts are provided.

Installation
Mount unit through Rough Wall Opening (RWO) and secure to finished wall by adjusting threaded rods (provided) inside chase to clamp wall thickness. The length of the threaded rods is determined by the thickness of the wall through which the shelf is mounted. Exchange screw and rod locations for deep wall installations up to 12-1/8" thick. Installer to cut excess length off rod ends to suit site conditions. For general utility mount unit 42" AFF or 18" above wash basin.

For compliance with 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards, install unit so that shelf inside top is between 48" Maximum Above Finished Floor (AFF) and 32" Minimum AFF.

Rough Wall Opening Required: 16-1/2" W x 5-1/2" H

Operation
Various items can be stored in the 4" deep interior of the shelf. Maintaining tight clamping of locking threaded rods inside chase provides strong resistance to vandalism and unauthorized removal.
